so, i've wanted to roll O's hair for a long time but the thought of those plastic, pink rollers my mom used to use on me, well, it made my head hurt. i was browsing at target one afternoon and found these - pillow rollers. they're just regular rollers but they're covered in fabric with wire inside. just curl the hair around and then twist the ends together.
didn't her hair turn out so pretty? i posted a pic on facebook and said something like "toddlers and tiaras? well, sort of..." i can't remember it all but i think a few folks thought i was signing O up for pagents. um, never.
these curls did put a little spring in her step and she loooooved looking at herself in the mirror!
there were a few rollers that fell out so i tried curling them with a curling iron. no go.
it was a shame we were heading to the pool and her lovely locks were going bye-bye, but we'll try again soon.

did try again but i made a fatal mistake. don't put rollers in O's hair if she took a nap that day. a nap means she rolls around in bed for an hour. no nap means she goes straight to sleep. no nap = rollers. got it!
