swimming lessons

MO started swimming lessons and here are some pics from her first day. she was so excited about going - 'simming' 'jumping' 'jacket' 'eee-yah'? i hated so much to burst her bubble but i told her that we were learning to 'sim' so we didn't need our jacket and we could only jump if our teacher said we could.

here we are applying sunscreen. it was hot and steamy at 530 last night!
i told SS that he needed to be 'on his game' to take pics tonight and to only take them from our level, which was IN the pool. nothing from way up high. as you'll see, he did great but i love this one from "way up high"!!!
sweet W, making a few last minute phone calls before heading into the water!
here we are "getting used to the water". i think this is when i told J and W that we were in the wrong class....both W and MO have been in the water tons already!!
aren't they cute?!?
no, MO, you can't be sleepy yet!! we haven't started yet!
the kids were given duckies to help them "get used to the water". W squirted himself in the face! priceless!!!
he did that and MO squirted me!
you can't see everyone but here's our class!
sweeties just chomping at the bit to jump in!!!
MO resorted to chewing on her duckie to pass the time. ewwww!
"HIIIIII, DADEEEEEEEE!!!"
both kiddos are pretty content now!!
i thought this was a great shot for SS to get. i would have!
i think we were getting ready to sing "the wheels on the bus" and our teacher clearly didn't know the words.....
getting used to laying on our back and kicking our feet.
blowing bubbles in the water. MO mostly spit.
i'm not sure what's going on here but it's sweet!!!! (she's probably telling me to stop talking...)
blowing again. me making sure MO is doing her part!!
yea! we completed our first class!!!!!!!
checking out the drains...full of yucky-shewy!!
off to the other end of the pool so we can JUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh what fun they had! I'm still so sad that Addi wasn't there. Maybe next year her daddy will "buy in"!
