denial. that's the state i'm in. how in the world is this little, sweet girl six months old already? i said i would remember that 'time flies' especially with the second one but, oh my, i had no clue how fast it really would fly!
you're officially sitting up and you are in your own personal heaven! laying down is for beginners and you're sooo not! you still get pretty mad if we lay you down - abs of steel!

you have started pooping a lot. i know this isn't great 'blog talk' but you used to poop once a week. it was kinda nice but when your weekly one hit, look out! you've slowly changed your ways and on this day, you had four dirty diapers. are you kidding me?
i'm really working on "ma-ma" and "bye-bye" with you but you're still not into jabbering too much yet. well, in the middle of the night you are - ha!
you inhale more baby food and cereal than we can imagine. i feel like i'm always at the store buying more baby food! you are eating stage 2 foods and you've licked a chip or two. don't tell dr. stacy! you are so interested in what we're eating and it's killing you that you can't try it all. your gag reflex is still pretty intense so if you get something too thick, it all comes up. your sister did this too so we at least know how to handle it!
you've gotten really good at grabbing things. especially your sister's hair, sippy cup and blanket. you touching these things make her super-mad... i'm sorry but it's so funny to watch her get upset - i've been telling her all along that one day you'd be able to get to her stuff. 
you still LOVE chewing on your hands, and ours too. still not ready for your gums to go away!
your daddy and i just want to eat you up with a spoon. it's so hard for us to hug you softly...in a good way, of course! you just make me grit my teeth! if only I could describe the love I have for you, emma. you are such a sweet, sweet angel baby and we hope you have loved your first half of your first year with us. we certainly have!

OK...you have got to be kidding me!?! She CANNOT already be 6 months old! It just isn't possible. Can't wait to see your sweet girls next weekend!
