halloween party #4 - the REAL halloween

well, this is the last and final entry for halloween and i feel like i owe you an explanation for the costumes. i tried to think of something that O just loves and obsesses over. there is tinkerbell, jessie from toy story, strawberry shortcake, etc. O is in the (long) process of potty training and at school when you potty in the potty, you get 1 skittle for pee pee and 2 skittles for poo poo. we have our very own jar of skittles at the house and on some days, O will get at least 10 (purple) skittles! even if there is just a drop of pee pee in the potty. 'cause, you know, you have to celebrate life's tiniest victories!

long story short, O is a BAG OF SKITTLES. E is ONE PURPLE SKITTLE from a favorite saying from her sister: "i need-a pee pee a-la potty and get one purpa skittle".

O is into looking at the camera and saying "cheeeese" but not actually smiling...

these next few are really funny. everyone was doing well until E started to cry.

then A flipped.

and then she split!!! look at O - she's thinking 'girl, she falls over all time. just glad it's on your watch'!

here is the bags' booty!

soooo, i forgot to tell O that when you're trick-or-treating you don't actually go in the houses...i will be sure to cover that base next year.

here she is on her second attempt. much better! this lady was so sweet even though O wanted to come in for juice!

um, so these folks went all out. eyes in the windows, bats flying around, smoke, large fangs....

we took them to this house to see what they'd do. they did, well, okay. we sure got a good laugh!!

these neighbors were so sweet and kept wanting to give E candy!! ha!

this house was pretty spooky too. O was okay until....

this lady came out!! she went running!

they both decided on a twizzlers until they found something better.

look how A is sitting all nice and sweet and O is spralled out. it's fun to watch their mannerisms already!!

really? a butterscotch disk? who gives those out on halloween???

sticky fingers and a sugar-high to the max!

have you heard of the pumpkin fairy? she comes after halloween to take all of your candy to a magical place! i just heard her but i have her on my calendar for next year! thanks hofmann's for such a fun evening of yummy chili and trick-or-treating! happy halloween to all!
