her first year - tenth month

seriously, girl! didn't we just do these? i can't tell you how fast time is flying and i would ask father time to make it stop but i know it won't do any good. you are a j.o.y. JOY! you are constantly in motion and you're forever exploring your surroundings. this was, by far, the hardest session yet.

and, to drive my point home, here is a pic to prove it. if your daddy hadn't been there, we would have one good picture. i mean, he's still trying to sit you down and you're already crawling away! silly girl!!!

what do we do with the curls? cut them or leave them? they're sooooo funny and i just love them dearly but your hair, sweet one, is getting very unruly. as you know, i have tried to keep you 'natural' in these pics. no bows. no bloomers.

well, after this session, i think those days are over.

i do love how your hair is perfectly framing your eye in this one but with one quick move, it's totally in your eyes. i added a simple bobby pin to the mix shortly after.

you (finally!) waved 'bye-bye' and we were more than thrilled! you were supposed to be doing that at 9 months but you were way too interested in crawling to worry about trivial things like waving.

you celebrated your first 4th of july! you loved crawling around on the golf course but you didn't love the firecrackers. honestly, it was way past your bedtime so you were a bit cranky anyway. you probably would have loved them had you been a little rested. you looked darn cute in your outfit though!

i finally caught you standing up in your bed. i've been waiting to find you like this and i didn't get a pic because i was so excited! you were too!!!

your sweet great mema louise passed away this month. i wish you could have known her. she was amazing! you would have been two peas in a pod!

wait? so, i take the calendar away and you sit still? i give!

you look so guilty here. of what, i'm not sure. maybe not sitting still or for being unbearably cute. sweet lord i love you!!!

you now have a new dance when you hear any kind of music. you put your little arm up with the palm of your hand up to the sky. you kinda bounce. it's presh!!!

we're getting ready to travel with you for the first time so i can't wait to report on your first vacation! you're getting on a (pink) airplane and we're flying to seaside, florida. i hope you love the beach as much as we do!
