what a FUN FOURTH - take 3

this is titled ‘take 3’ but in the actual order of events, this little ditty happened first. we got off work early on friday so we decided to take the girls to the splash pad. it was soooo much fun for MO – for addison, not so much.

i'll skip the commentary for each ever-lovin-pic since there are, oh, 75 of them!! i'm sorry but they're all so cute!

i super-tried my hardest to get her happy as a clam and got pretty wet in the process but she was perfectly content to hang out! this is why i’m not sure why she wanted to sit with me during firecrackers. you know, since i make her do things she doesn’t want to do!

notes to self #1: don’t ever take your own toys to the splash pad. strange kiddos find their way to you…and they don’t leave.

#2: bring cookies for snacks. they will attract said strange kids, but these kids loved them!!

#3: sing "pop goes the weasel" when you want the girls to smile big time. See???

and finally, #4: be better than me and don’t let your kiddo drink the water. pretty sure it’s just recycled-city-splash-pad-pee water.

the girls ran around like crazy people (as they tend to do) and we have some great memories from it. we'll definitely do it again!!
