seaside, florida - day 1

((just a little history before getting started: mom and dad were so great to take us and the girls on vacay this year. they drove my monster truck with all the stuff that our two little girlies needed. then, S and i flew with the little bits. it was a pretty eventful day. the girls were amazing. a-mazing. any trip with NO throw ups, NO blowouts and NO accidents is a 100% success in my book. yes, our flight out of dallas left two hours later (shocker.) but they were great!))

good morning, seaside!!! (sorry for my humidified camera) i'm sure my parents are loooving it that i'm posting their 'good morning' faces! we got in super late the night before but we woke up to this amazing, quirky place - SEASIDE! the house we stayed in was called "moore fun". and it was!! the front porch had two big rocking chairs and a swing. perfect!

this was part of the 'moore fun' in the house. there was a third floor with a little landing to see ALL of seaside. it was heck getting up there, especially if a little person wanted to go with you, but man, the view was pretty incredible. here is the view from the top of the stairs. it was fun to walk down and see everyone hanging out and playing. there was a bowl of sea shells behind the the sofa and O played with them every single day!
here is what the beach looks like in the mornings before it gets busy. S and i were trying to find a perfect spot to bring the girls!!
here are the roberts four walking to the beach for the first time. O was in her own personal heaven. E was in her own personal hell.
see? O is dancing and E is in the fetal position.
sweet thing. hated. it.
she sort of gained her composure for a family pic. it's cute nonetheless!
i'm not sure who took this one but i love it. loooove it.
O and gran dancing in the sand.
'what is this place?' what is this sticky white stuff?' why didn't anyone tell me about humidity?' 'when can we go home?' see? hell.
making sand castles with daddy. heaven.
god love her. hell.
daddy was in heaven. couldn't stop making sand castles with O!
she is still talking about her time at the beach.
maybe a nap will help this little one….
the boys talked about golf.
O took a drink break with gran.
hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!

this impressed me a lot. O was drawing the sand. when i got over to her, i noticed she was making a pattern. she would draw a line, then jump. draw another line, then jump.
here she is jumping after drawing a line.
here is her pattern. pretty good, huh?
pretty little beach lady!!
boomer sooner baby!!
here are my loves playing around, trying to throw sand on each other. priceless!!

cutie pie piggies in the sand.
after a very long day at the beach, we came back to the house and got all pretty! these girls loved the rocking chairs!!
E
O
sweet sister moment. isn't this the best?!? be still!

can you see my sunburn? sweet little handprint from one of my bits. i've never had a more awesome sunburn!!!
mom and dad went on a dinner date while S and i got the girls ready for bed. once they were settled, S and i went on a date. it was heavenly! he he!
seaside is awesome. you walk everywhere. or ride a bike but i'm not that cool. our house was literally two blocks from awesome food, drinks, dessert, shopping, everything!! we stayed on west ruskin street. lovely!
i'm not sure that i got a pic of our house during the day but here it is at night. sooooo 'moore fun'!!!
i can't wait to show you pics from days 2 thru 5! yay!
