two days before turkey day

well, the day before these pictures were taken, we left norman at 530pm.  we arrived in clovis, new mexico at midnight.  funny how neither girl slept and once we got there, they were wired.  how we got two kids that don't sleep in the car is just beyond me.  especially on a six hour drive.  

even though the girls got up early (thanks, ladies!) we were all moving slow.  my boss sent me a text and told me that justin bieber was going to be on the Today show so we used that little concert to get us going!

you can't see E showing off her sweet moves but you can see bieber's sweet leather jacket on the tv.  really?

she's in loooove with the biebs!!

so, meme has a cat.  her name is missy.  she's large and in charge.  and scared of little ones.  

the girls thought it was hilarious to chase her.  i'm not a cat person so the torment suited me just fine.  

O played store with meme for forever but she did not want me documenting it.  

E continued to show us that she's super-big by drinking from a straw.  

nothing like dragging your sister around the house in a lego wagon!!

they took forever-long baths in meme and papa's tub.  i thought the jets should scare them but nooooo!

after the girls' amazing bath, it was time to head to the carpenter's house!  brian and mandy are great friends of ours.  brian and S grew up together.  mandy was a friend of a friend, then a roommate of a friend and while both brian and mandy were living in dallas, they met and got married!!  

brian is from clovis so they live there now just a few blocks from S's parents.  they have two A-dorable boys that the girls love playing with.  and, from the looks of the photos, O loves trains and guns.  noted.  

the group pictures of the kids were pretty hilarious.  they actually sat really still!!  

and they were silly too!  sorry, mandy, but these next two crack me up!!!

shortly after the kids photos, we took them back to meme and papa's so we could enjoy a few adult beverages.  i hate it that the only adult pic we got is not of the boys that grew up together.  BUT i do love this one of tori, mandy and me!!  thanks carpenters for having us!!  we miss you already!
