so, yes, it's finally time to show you E's first haircut! her lovely locks turned into crazy-curls and, no offense, but she looked a little bit like a jewish man. i triple-hated cutting them off but the amount of food that was collecting in her hair was just too much.
let's just start out by saying that she was not impressed with what was about to happen. i thought back to when O had her first haircut but she was 7 months old so she wasn't really phased by it. now, E? she was 12 months and totally knew she didn't like was about to happen.
thank goodness for paci's right?
here goes the first cut!!! and i'm proud to say that i have that sweet little curl!
sweet robyne. she has been cutting my hair for 11 years now and i adore her! she's crazy and funky and (thankfully!) agreed to cut E's hair way too early on a saturday morning.
see her swoop? it's nuts how much hair my girls have!
and, there goes the swoop. don't worry though. this post is over a month late so a lot of this has grown back.
trimming up the back.
big sister observing and lookin' darling in her cowboy boots!
here we are at home after a getting-my-hair-cut-made-me-sleepy nap. she looks SO MUCH like O now!!
well, E, this is your first of many, many haircuts. we may have to scalp you because you won't keep a bow in your hair to save your life. we've resorted to a bam-bam type ponytail on the top of your head and i'm not exactly thrilled with how it looks but it keeps your hair out of your face.
no matter how many times we cut your hair, promise me your curls will stick around!!! happy first haircut, E!!

Reesie always had a ton of hair too. I have always had to use the clear little bands to somehow keep it out of her face. I'm doing a braid now every day, almost like the braided bangs. We love it and it's super easy.
Super cute haircut BTW!
