make a wish, emma!

don't you just love etsy?  i do!  i have been purchasing printable invitations for awhile and i totally dig the one price and 'print as many as you want' feature. i found this 'WISH' invitation for emma and i had to have it!  this etsy shop has it all figured out.  let's just say that i got the printable invitations and every printable i could ever need for $33.
speaking of 'don't you just love?', don't you just love my sweet little family??  i mean really!!  we're a crazy bunch but we're kinda super-cute!!  ha!
i was so excited to celebrate this little girl.  more than you know!
once i decided on the theme, i was off to find her an outfit with a star.  gap totally pulled through.  silk top and skirt, covered in stars.  couldn't have been more perfect.
my sweetie monogram lady made her bloomers to match perfectly.  thanks, christy!
um, bloch ballet shoes for babies?  yes, please!!!
practicing her walking with gran.

party favors.  pink chocolate covered oreos with edible stars. "thank you for making my wish come true!"

see?  love it, right?  thanks *goldenshop* for yet another awesome birthday set!!
yummers cookies from my friend saradee.  thanks, saradee's sweet treats!!!
chocolate dipped pretzels.  these have become a staple at my girls' parties.
more cupcake toppers and E's birthday candle.  i had a birthday candle when i was little and i think it's so  fun that they still make them!!
cutie frappucino bottles made into 'magic' pink lemonade!
the four of us with great meme and aunt paula, and gran and papa ray!
i think E is getting tired of all the hoopla!
the roberts and the walkers.
the roberts and the degroots.
angel baby girl.
my high school bestie, heather, and her sweet little peyton!  thanks so much for coming all the way from dallas!!
the roberts and the canterburys.
yum-o amy cake!  thanks, amy!  it looks JUST like the example!!

i made this sign before i found out that it was a printable.  oh well, i actually liked mine better!!!
pretty pennants!  thanks, dad, for helping me rig the curtain…whew, it was a little mind boggling at times.  the slant of the ceiling threw me way off and i couldn't recover.
it all turned out magically perfect!!
E's future wedding cake knife and server from gran and papa ray.  she can use it for special occasions up until her wedding, then she can cut her wedding cake with them!  possibly pass them on to her daughter…oh my!  that's too far down the road!
E's sweet little smash cake.
close up of the bib and another pic of her cake.

she really, truly does.

thanks for letting me borrow your bucket, erin!  and, while i'm thanking erin, i have to give a HUGE shout-out to her for taking all of these amazing pictures!!!  she truly should charge for her work (but not me - ha!).  she captured all of the fun moments of E's special day!  thank you so, SO much for helping me so i could really enjoy my ems!

here are E's "her first year" pics from our calendar shoots.  it's pretty incredible to see her newborn pic, all scrunched up and tiny, then at the end, a sweet and beautiful girl sitting.  my oh my.
newborn through four months.
three months to nine months.
nine months to one year!
E and her sweet friends:  baby halle, miss peyton and ellie-girl.  ellie is in her class at school and we adore her!  halle, ellie and emma will be in real school together!
E wanted to love on peyton so bad!!
she also wanted to hit her a little bit.
then, she wanted to share her love with baby halle.
aaaaaand, i think that's enough friends pics for the day!  i can't wait to see these girls grow up together!
opening some super-great gifts!!
S and i got her a pearl bracelet for her first birthday.  we have the extra pearls to make into a necklace someday!
"Emma Dilemma".  best book ever!  this is from my dad.  i knew it existed and i planned on getting it for E but my dad beat me to it.  it's actually a book about a big sister who complains about her little sister but we couldn't give Olivia a book with Emma in the title.  it's presh!
an excerpt from the book:  Emma’s hand is just the right size to fit inside mine. Emma’s hand is warm, soft, friendly.  Sticky.   precious.
this is a book from "Bubba" mom's 'other' daughter, my long lost sister.  long story.  mary, thank you for this book!  E totally loves it and has torn a hole in the heart on the front!!
someone was feeling left out so she made a crazy entrance.  she has on two tutu's but one is somehow tucked in the back…..soooo hilarious!  yes, bug, we know you're still here!!
here's my sweet love getting ready to pounce on her cake!

"ooooh, no.  heeeeere it comes."
aaaaand now she looks exactly like she did the day she was born!  crying or not, i die for this face!
happy birthday, to you!
happy birthday, to you!
happy birthday, dear emma!
happy birthday, to you!
ready!
set!
goooooo!!!

get. it. girl.

she wasn't as messy as i thought.  i really thought a bath would be in order.  yet again, this girl has surprised me!

here is the wreath that mom and i made.  again, this version looks way better than the example!

she needed a bottle to wash all of that sugar down. she was a little overwhelmed but daddy came to the rescue with a shoulder ride!
finally getting the chance to play with her toys.
this actually when baby halle arrived.  pretty sure H was a little overwhelmed but these girls were enamored by her!!

O and her bestie.  best bunnie ever!
O chomping on her dipped oreo with bella.  i didn't get a pic of the entire bartley family, but i'm soooo glad they came.  funny story about them.  they drove all the way from muskogee but missed the whole party!!  there was a little mix-up on the party time...but it ended up being perfect because they stayed after everyone left and we got some serious roberts/bartley.  i was in heaven!!  we adore this family and seeing our kiddos play together was so fun!
i'm pretty sure my little, sweet one year old had all of her wishes come true today.  everything was truly perfect and i can't thank MY lovies enough for putting up with me and my countless questions, and to-do lists.  i couldn't have done this without my friends and family.

thank you for loving emma almost as much as we do.  she has been the best blessing to our family and it's because of her that our family is complete.  thank you for nurturing her and helping us help her to be the best she can be.  thank you to those who drove a little and a lot to help us celebrate her.  your love and friendship means more than you'll ever know.  thank you again and happy birthday, emma louise!!
